Project Overview

This was a self-initiated redesign of The Originals Boutique, Hotel Lakeside website, one of those projects where I really wanted to take something functional but dated and give it life. The original site felt heavy and didn't quite capture how beautiful and serene the hotel actually is. My aim was to shift from an information-dense site to one that feels calm, curated, and luxurious at first glance, while still keeping that cozy boutique vibe while making the overall experience much more inviting and easy to browse.

Key Highlights

  • I kicked things off with a hero section that instantly sets a calm and welcoming tone, with clear booking and inquiry CTAs.
  • Simplified navigationto guide users toward booking or exploring hospitality services immediately.
  • Reorganized themed room, restaurant, lounge, rooftop bar content into modular sections, with better visual rhythm and improved scanability.
  • Refined hierarchy and typography to make content breathable and easier to navigate.
  • Added trust & promise elements to communicate quality, service, and authenticity like amenities, local cuisine, view, etc.

Why I made this?

I came across the original Lakeside Hotel website and saw potential; good brand, but outdated presentation. So I took it as a personal challenge to reimagine it with structure, depth, and better emotional flow.

If This Were a Real Experience

If I continued this project, I'd:

  • Enhance the experience with richer room detail pages like more immersive imagery, what each theme room offers, hotel-prepared itinerary.
  • Smoother transitions between sections, and visual storytelling in restaurant/lifestyle areas.
  • Make it fully responsive for mobile-first users so the design feels as calm and refined on phones as on desktop.

What This Project Shows About Me

  • I can identify brand mismatch and redesign with emotional precision.
  • I'm thoughtful about hospitality tone and visual storytelling.
  • I balance calm minimalism with inviting warmth.
  • I know how to elevate existing experiences without completely rebuilding them.

Side Note

It's about calm storytelling, soft visuals, airy spacing, and effortless navigation. I wanted it to feel like a quiet getaway even before booking a room. The tone is classic, not flashy just confident enough to make you stay.
